Video Production in Austin.
You don't need another video company telling you they're "the best in Austin." You need one that actually knows this city and how to tell your story well.
Camera Clay is based an hour down I-35 in Seguin, and we've been making video for Austin businesses, startups, and institutions since 2016. We're not a national production company with an Austin page bolted onto their site. This is where we work.
Trusted by brands like…
Handcrafted videos for Texas brands.
Brands that trust us with their story.
We've produced work for Charter Spectrum, OKLO, Whataburger, Visit San Marcos, Yotta Energy, and Gateway Mortgage, among others across Texas. A few words from people who've actually sat in front of our camera:
★★★★★
“Something I’m proud to show off.”
“It is always an absolute joy to work with the Camera Clay team! From the creative brainstorming sessions where a loose idea starts to take form to the thoughtfully executed and professionally polished final product, every Camera Clay project (and there have been many) has by far exceeded expectations and resulted in something I'm proud to show off.”

Visit San Marcos
We’re a different kind of video agency.
We look for the grounded way into a story that, when framed right, feels larger than life.
STRATEGY-DRIVEN VIDEO FOR TEXAS BUSINESSES
Built for Austin industries.
Austin's economy isn't generic, and we don't think your video should be either.
🎓 Higher Education & Research
With UT Austin anchoring a huge research and innovation base, we understand the kind of video that works for academic, research, and education-adjacent organizations: credible, substantive, and not oversold.
💻 Tech & SaaS
Austin is one of the fastest-growing tech scenes in the country, and most of it is still explaining itself to buyers who've never heard of it. A product demo or customer story that actually explains what your software does, without jargon, is often worth more than another feature page.
🎸 Music, Entertainment & Events
Austin's identity is tied up in SXSW, ACL, and a live music industry that's bigger than almost anywhere else in the country. Venues, festivals, and entertainment brands need video that captures that energy honestly instead of flattening it into stock-footage b-roll.
🚀 Startups & Venture-Backed Companies
Whether you're raising a round, recruiting your next ten hires, or trying to look as credible as companies twice your size, a brand story video does real work a pitch deck can't. We wrote more about that trade-off here.
★★★★★
"I couldn’t speak more highly of the Camera Clay team. If you want a high-quality video asset, use Camera Clay."

BEAUTIFUL VISUALS. POWERFUL STORY.
What we make for Austin businesses.
We don't run a menu of a hundred video types. We focus on the handful that actually move a business forward, and we build a real strategy behind each one before a camera gets involved.
Brand Story Videos
For companies that have outgrown the way they currently explain themselves, or whose website doesn't match the quality of the work they're actually doing.
Social Media Videos
For brands that need a steady stream of short, platform-native content instead of one expensive video a year.
Case Study and Testimonial Videos
For sales teams who need a real customer's story, not another slide of bullet points, to close the deal.
Looking for something different? We also offer custom video packages.
How it works.
We don't disappear for three months and reappear with a finished video. Our process runs in six stages: strategy and brief, creative development, pre-production, the shoot itself, post-production, and final delivery. Revisions happen during creative development, before anyone's standing around on a set waiting on a decision, which is also how we keep projects on budget.
Most Austin projects run somewhere between six and nineteen weeks depending on scope. We'll give you a real timeline once we know what you're making, not a generic range.
-
1-2 weeks: We start by understanding your goals and audience. From there, we define the scope, gather your existing assets, and map out a strategy. A 50% deposit locks in your project, and we’re off to the races.
-
1-3 weeks: Concepts, scripts, moodboards, and storyboards are developed, presented, and refined. Revisions happen here — not on set.
-
2-4 weeks: Casting, location scouting, crew booking, prop/wardrobe sourcing, shot list finalization, and production scheduling.
-
1-5 days: Principal photography or video capture. Every hour on set costs money — thorough prep is what makes this efficient.
-
2-8 weeks: Editing, color grading, sound design/mix, motion graphics, music licensing, and client review rounds.
-
1-7 days: Final format exports, quality control checks, platform-specific versioning (broadcast, social, digital), and file delivery.
Let’s talk
about your project.
Tell us what you're trying to make, and whether it's a brand film, a customer story, or something you're still figuring out, we'll help you get there.
📍 We’re Locals
We're an hour down I-35, not a national crew flying in. We know the drive, we know the city's pace, and we're not learning Austin for the first time on your shoot day.
🧠 Marketing Minded
Austin audiences, especially tech and startup ones, can spot a video that's all polish and no strategy. We build the strategy first, so what we shoot actually does something for your business.
⚡️ Really, Really Fast
Austin moves fast, and a lot of the companies we work with are used to shipping on startup timelines. We keep pace with that instead of making you wait on a production schedule built for someone slower.
💙 Customer Love
The same clients who'll vouch for us on the San Antonio page will vouch for us here. Texas is smaller than it looks.

-
Both. We're based just outside Austin in Seguin and most of our work is right here in the city, but we also shoot across Texas and occasionally beyond. Distance has never been the reason a project didn't happen.
-
Most projects run from a few thousand dollars for something simple to well into the tens of thousands for a larger commercial production. The honest answer depends on what you're making, not how long the finished video is. We broke down exactly what drives that cost here.
-
That's usually where we start. Most people come to us saying "we need a video" without knowing whether that means a brand story, a case study, or something else entirely. We'll help you figure that out before we talk about budget or timeline.
-
Yes. We've worked with destination marketing organizations and understand the multi-stakeholder approval process that comes with that kind of client, grant reporting, board sign-off, and all.
-
The earlier the better, especially for anything involving multiple locations or subjects, but reach out even if your timeline is tight. We'll tell you honestly what's realistic.
