Our Story
Camera Clay started in 2011 as a group of friends making films together.
There wasn't much of a business plan. We just liked the process of bouncing ideas off each other, figuring things out, and creating something we were proud of. Along the way, a few of those short films picked up awards, and by 2013 we started wondering if we could bring that same approach into commercial work.
So we did.
I found myself working alongside some incredibly talented creatives at an advertising agency, learning how strategy, storytelling, and design all fit together. We had the chance to create campaigns for destinations and brands that reached audiences far beyond what we could imagine, and those experiences shaped the way we think about our work today.
But the biggest lesson wasn't about production value or budgets. It was seeing what happens when good people with different skills come together around a shared idea. That's still the part of this job I enjoy the most.
Eventually, it felt like the right time to build something of our own. My family and I moved back to Seguin, Texas, and brought Camera Clay home with us.
Today, we're a small team that partners with businesses across the country to tell stories that feel honest and useful. Sometimes that means producing a national campaign. Other times it means spending the afternoon with a local business owner who cares deeply about what they've built.
Either way, our approach stays the same.
We listen first. We collaborate often. We bring together the right people for the project and work hard to make something that everyone involved can stand behind.
Camera Clay has never been about one person with a camera. It's always been about what can happen when creative people trust each other and build something together.
Our Mission
At Camera Clay, we believe the best videos come from working closely with the people who know their story best.
Our job isn't just to show up with cameras. It's to listen, ask good questions, and bring together strategy, storytelling, and a team of talented collaborators to create something that feels genuine. Whether we're working with a national brand or a local business, the goal is always the same: make work that connects with people and helps move your business forward.
Every project is different, so we build the right team for the story, work alongside our clients throughout the process, and create videos that are as thoughtful as they are effective.
In the end, we're not just making content. We're helping people tell their story in a way that others will remember.
Our Team
The people behind Camera Clay are more than filmmakers, producers, and creatives. We're collaborators.
Every project brings together a different mix of talent, ideas, and perspectives, all working toward the same goal: helping our clients communicate something meaningful. We believe the best work happens when everyone has a seat at the table, from the first conversation to the final delivery.
We take our work seriously, but we don't believe the process has to be complicated. We value clear communication, mutual trust, and the kind of partnership where good ideas can come from anywhere.
At the end of the day, our success is tied to yours. If the work helps your business grow, strengthens your brand, or simply tells your story in a way that feels true, then we've done our job.
That's the kind of work we enjoy making and the kind of relationships we hope to build along the way.
Proudly serving Texas since 2016.
We're a team of filmmakers, producers, and creative collaborators who believe that good work starts with curiosity. We ask questions, spend time getting to know the people behind the brand, and build a process that fits the project instead of forcing the project into a process.
Whether we're filming in Austin, San Antonio, or a town you've probably never heard of, our goal stays the same: create honest, thoughtful work that reflects the people behind it and leaves a lasting impression on the audience.
We're proud to call Texas home, and we'd be honored to help tell your story.
Our Clients
We've been fortunate to work with organizations of all shapes and sizes, but the projects we remember most have one thing in common: good people.
The best partnerships happen when there's mutual trust, open collaboration, and a shared desire to create something meaningful. We enjoy working with businesses that care about their customers, value their people, and want to leave things a little better than they found them.
That's not to say every client looks the same. They don't. But the ones who fit best tend to be curious, collaborative, and willing to invest in doing things well.
Those are the kinds of relationships we've built Camera Clay around.
If we end up working together, we hope it's because we see something in each other beyond a project—a shared belief that the best work is created side by side.
